This games controls for that are horrible. I received it as a gift and am getting a refund. ..It's making me use the ARROW KEYS... and there is no way to remap the keyboard options. Its an awesome coop cooking game.Its not a copy of overcooked so that makes game even better,I had so much fun playing it on one screen.I just hate the framerate. Whole game is locked at 30fps and it really isnt smooth. Otherwise i would recommend the game :) . Its worth the money. Fun game. The local multiplayer endless is a good challenge. Devs seem to be constantly adding new material and streamlining the player experience.Update: Currently have over 100 hours on this game with my family and don't see us stopping anytime soon. The devs just keep adding new material including a second restaurant effectively doubling the content in this game.. I would really like to give this game a thumbs up but I can barely play it. Despite it being graphically minimal and a much less intense game than Overcooked, this game will not run on a single PC in my house. I've tried running it on a cloud PC through Parsec and it still has issues with lag and freezing. I can run Overcooked and Overcooked 2 on every PC in my house, no problem. I've run Witcher 3 on my parsec cloud PC no problem. I have no idea what is wrong with this game that it can't seem to run or why it should possibly be more demanding than OC, OC2 or Witcher 3. Like other reviews, the campaign is extremely short. It took me a long time to complete only because it is hard to satisfy the food critic when the entire game freezes every few seconds. Would love to see the game fixed, offered on other platforms, and have the campaign extended.. Similar to Overcooked, but with less of a focus on gimmicky stages and more of a focus on running a restaurant, earning money, and buying upgrades. Great fun in co-op. Hoping for more upgrades to spend money on--especially decorations to make the restaurant a little more personalised.. Wife and me played through the campaign, and we enjoyed every stressful second of it. Sure it kinda reminds you of Overcooked, but like others already said, the customer interaction makes it a completely different animal even though they share a theme. One small complaint is that we had it freeze on us twice. I don't know if it is because we play it via a Steam Link or what is up since I haven't read about anybody else sharing our problem. Nevertheless, we now look forward to triple star all the challenges and getting every last one of the achievements! Also endless mode.. This game is so much fun with a group of friends or even alone, I loved the 4 hours it took to beat the game but after that we kept playing until we got bored, I know it just was released but We were hoping that the Dev's might put out more levels or make other campaign maps, Either way I am looking forward to this game if it expands. It felt like there was a long drought of local multiplayer experiences with the removal of split-screen mode from AAA games but in recent years there has been a resurgence of local co-op games. My goal with Diner Bros is to recreate that enjoyable social experience I've had sitting side-by-side with my friends.I’m always on the lookout for co-op games to play but many of them are too complex for my non-gamer friends. My main goal has been to balance the gameplay so that it can be enjoyed by players of all skill levels. If you and your partner are competitive and want to maximize your profits, you can do exactly that. Plan out what food will be ordered and prepare the food in advance to earn the most tips. The game will ramp up the difficulty quickly if you choose to play this way. Alternatively, if your partner is more of a casual player, the game will not punish you for it. I’ve found during play testing that the casual player can stick to bussing tables which is a role that only requires good communication. It is important to me to get this balance right as it is very satisfying watching someone who “Doesn’t play video games” and have them enjoy my game.I am so excited to be working on this project and hope you will enjoy it too.
